How to install .Net Framework 3.5 in windows server 2012 R2

Installation of one or more roles, role services, or features failed.

The source files could not be found. Try installing the roles, role services, or features again in a new Add Roles and Features Wizard session, and on the Confirmation page of the wizard, click "Specify an alternate source path" to specify a valid location of the source files that are required for the installation. The location must be accessible by the computer account of the destination server.

If you're willing to deal with this mistake. So don't be concerned about it. I'll be the one to supply the answer. Please follow my instructions, which are detailed below.

Step 1:

first Go to My Computer and check to see whether your Windows Server ISO is mounted or not. In order to determine if it is mounted, look for the blue symbol as seen in the photo. And click on it.

Step 2:

The second step is navigating to the Windows Server ISO image mount location. And then you open it. Once it is opened, you will be presented with this window.

Step 3:

After all, the procedure was successful. Navigate to the sources folder, which is placed in the third location on my computer.

Step 4:

The fourth one is located after this sources folder, and then click the sxs folder.            

 

Step 5:

After you have clicked on the sxs folder, you should copy the path to that folder.

Step 6:

Navigate to the server manager and choose the option to add roles and features.

Step 7:

Simply press the Next button in the Add Roles and Features Wizard.

Step 8:

In Installation Type section click on Role-based of feature-based installation and Click on Next.

Step 9:

In Server Selection section just all the things is default and click on Next Button.

Step 10:

In the Server Roles section, everything is left as is, and you may proceed by clicking the Next button.

Step  11:

Simply choose the .NET Framework 3.5 Features from the features section and then click on the Next button.

Step 12:

In the confirmation box, click on "Confirm." The option to Specify an alternative source route may be found just below the left-hand navigation bar.

Step 13:

Click on alternate source path option and paste the path of which was you in sources folder in windows server ISO mount in my case the path is “D:\sources\sxs” and click on OK.

Step 14:

At the end just click in install button.
